Miss Maple was manufactured in Canada in 1981 by Mastercraft of USA. Production was short lived as was the UK manufacturing with all production returning to the USA. As we understand it, the boat was imported new in 1981 and remained in sole ownership until 2015 when it was part exchanged at Wake and Ski Mastercraft Dealer. We acquired the boat from them in 2015 as a project as the boat and trailer needed a fair bit of tlc as it had clearly done a lot of hours. Our plan was to use it in Classic Motor Boat Association events and as a family ski boat at Stewartby Water Ski Club in Bedford. Various upgrades and repairs needed to be made including a new trailer axle and hitch to bring the trailer up to UK spec. The boat has always been maintained in running order (and still is today - see video page) but has not been used since 2024 when we replaced it with a newer Mastercraft. This is an old classic boat and is now in need of a new owner who has the mechanical skills and the interest to maintain and sympathetically use the boat (its days of thrashing up and down a slalom course at 36mph are long gone).
